Support the Integration of Congolese Immigrants and Preservation of Congolese heritage
In 1997, the first Congolese immigrants and Refugees who resettled in Greensboro, NC got together and decided to form what was then called the Congolese Community at Greensboro, to provide support for each other and hold activities that preserved and reinforced their cultural ties.
In March 2019, as the number of Congolese immigrants and refugees had grown tremendously in the Piedmont Triad region of NC, with crucial needs that were scarcely being met, members of the Congolese Communtiy decided to incorporate their association as a non-profit organization to provide an official structure were Congolese Immigrants needs are addressed, and Congolese heritage is preserved.
